Film and TV

We provide a set design, fabrication and prop-making service film, TV and photography shoots. This includes fully furnished and dressed sets for drama and commercials; sets, staging, rostra and backdrops for live or recorded studio and location broadcast; and bespoke furniture, desks and props for sports, current affairs and news. We also provide dressed sets, backgrounds, or one-off props for commercial and corporate photography shoots.

Our sets and featured props for RTÉ's Sattitude were utilised for five seasons, with re-designed elements and new set pieces commissioned during this time. We also designed the sets for Trish's City Kitchen for RTÉ, and O Cuisine for TG4. In addition to this, we provided the stage sets for the annual traditional music show Gradam Ceoil at Cork Opera House and UCH, and for Tommy Fleming at the INEC. Further commissions around this time included desks for TG4 Nuacht and Newstalk FM, and the set for the BGE Awards produced by Nemeton TV and aired live from Croke Park.

More recently, our Senior Designer Don Rothwell was recruited as Production Designer on Oonagh Kerarney’s drama ‘On The Hemline’, and as Art Director on the Carmel Winters’ feature film ‘Float Like A Butterfly’, released in 2019 (watch the trailer here). Don has also art directed three seasons of the RTE Junior show Body Brothers for Stop.Watch TV, and completed the design and fit-out of podcast sets for The Irish Examiner.

Don designed the set for Virgin Media’s Green Room and their end of 2020 review show Next! on three consecutive New Years' Eve shows for TG4, and on Gradam Ceoil again in 2022 at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and in 2023 at the University Concert Hall in Limerick. Setworks recently re-designed the demo/fashion area of RTE’s Today Show and re-styled other areas of the set.

Clients include: RTE, TG4, Virgin Media, Setanta Ireland, Newstalk, Samson Films, Stop.Watch.TV, Aniar TV, Motive TV, The Irish Examiner
"Don's attention to detail is second to none and he has a fantastic ability to take any brief and come up with the goods. Working to tight deadlines and even tighter budgets has never been an issue. It's always a pleasure to work with Don and I look forward to working with him on future projects."
